Randolph House Inc. was established on April 21, 2021 in Atlanta, GA, by Founder Skyyler Randolph."When I was younger all the neighborhood kids wanted to come to my house. It was always full on the weekends and pretty much all the time because my mother was a caregiver for children and adults with disabilities. I named my organization Randolph House Inc. because I wanted to create another safe space for children and families to come for support regardless of the special need. Randolph House's motto is " You can always come home." RH provided support to many families during the Covid-19 pandemic by providing homeschooling, affordable tutoring, field-trips, books, parent workshops, community fundraisers and virtual learning support. In 2022 the board decided to bring Randolph House back to its roots in North Carolina, were it all started for Skyyler Randolph.
Bolivia, NC, known as the "significant crossroad" along the way between Wilmington, NC and South Carolina houses a small farm where Skyyler was born and raised. She followed in her mothers footsteps and became an educator where she studied special education. "I seen the great work my mother did and it inspired me. Through those observations, my own professional experiences as an educator and noticing the deficit patterns in literacy of 1st-8th grade students around the world, RH mission became clear."(Randolph, 2022)
RH aims to bridge the gaps of repsite care for caregivers of children with special needs, literacy & language deprivation and world experiences for students In rural areas like Bolivia were resources are limited or nonexistent. Parents also want to advocate for their children's needs but don't know where to begin. RH supports families in this process though its "Spend Time Talking and Reading Together initiative (S.T.A.R.T) and PROOF program! We also give back to our community through our HeartWork Scholarship "In Loving Memory of Christie Newman" Skyyler Randolph's mother, which gives three scholarships a year to one caregiver of someone with special needs, a special education teacher and one student with a learning disability attending a 2-4yr institution.

Community Field Day Fundraiser May, 2021.
Research shows that illiteracy is related to poverty, employment and lack of appropriate healthcare. If a child struggles to read & write and never receives interventions to help improve those skills, they become adults with the same reading & writing difficulties. RH has partnered with families, schools and the community in efforts to eliminate illiteracy and communication access problems for minority families in underserved areas. RH believes children deserve a safe and solid foundation to ensure a safe and solid future.
